The Theatre Company of Bryan/College Station is thrilled to announce the first production of its 36th season, “We Are Family,” with the beloved classic, THE SOUND OF MUSIC. This heartwarming musical, a masterpiece by the legendary Rodgers & Hammerstein , returns to The Randy Wilson Stage to enchant audiences of all ages.
THE SOUND OF MUSIC tells the story of Maria (SISTER ACT’S Audrey Cook), a spirited young postulant whose love of music leads her to become the governess for the seven children of the stern Captain von Trapp (ROCKY HORROR’S Dustin Topo-Kemp). Through Maria’s warmth and joyful spirit, the von Trapp household is transformed, rediscovering the magic of music and the strength of family. As the family faces the looming challenges of a world on the brink of war, their bond and courage shine brighter than ever.
Featuring timeless songs like “Do-Re-Mi,” “My Favorite Things,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen”, “Edelweiss,” and the iconic title number, this production is a perfect way to kick off The Theatre Company’s 36th Season.
