Feel ALL the 80s feels at MYSTIC PIZZA: THE MUSICAL, the next production of The Theatre Company of Bryan – College Station’s 36th season, “We Are Family.” Small-town pizza shop nostalgia and catchy 80s tunes are on the menu in this 2021 musical based on the 1988 film starring Julia Roberts. You’ll leave the theatre singing familiar, popular megahits such as “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now.”
Three working-class waitresses–sisters Daisy (Hannah Cochran) and Kat (Lily Van Zandt) and their best friend Jo (Kayson Hergert)–navigate the complexities of love, life, and family in the pizza joint where they serve everyone from all slices of local society. MYSTIC PIZZA: THE MUSICAL explores the three young women’s dreams and their journey of self-discovery as they embrace the importance of chosen family.
