Comfort Keepers:
A Team of Heroes
Elevating the Human Spirit

Pandemic. Winterstorm. Tornado. Hurricane. Through it all, the amazing caregivers at Comfort Keepers have chosen to don their capes (and masks) to ensure that seniors in the Brazos Valley are cared for and safe. Want to meet some real life heroes? Check out the amazing stories below!
We develop custom care plans, implemented by our caregivers, that include physical safety and well-being, emotional health, and socialization. Our goal is to help our clients have the best quality of life while maintaining their independence at home.” –Comfort Keepers
Meet Rosalinda Sanchez
As soon as Rosa Sanchez learned the winter storm was coming, she began preparing.
The week before the storm hit, she stocked up on supplies that her client would need. Knowing how much her client relies on her, she got her uncle to winterize her car so she would be prepared to drive to her client’s home no matter what weather conditions she faced. Then, throughout the storm, she continued to reliably provide excellent care to ensure her client’s quality of life.
Talk about a HERO! Thank you Rosa for keeping our seniors safe.
Rosa’s big heart isn’t the only thing that makes her the perfect candidate to take care of our most vulnerable populations. Comfort Keepers caregivers go through extensive training in infection control and safety protocol. Additionally, they are prepared to provide clients with a clean home environment, fresh-cooked meals, and personal assistance. These caregivers are kind, compassionate, and they often go out of their way to help their clients. Like Shara, for example:
Meet Shara Blair
Shara always goes above and beyond to ensure her client’s quality of life.
When the winter storm hit, she volunteered to stay overnight to make sure that her client would have someone there in the morning, even if the roads were bad.
Throughout the week of winter weather conditions, she continued to provide care, even when it meant driving in from out of town to be there for a shift!
Thanks Shara for volunteering your personal time to take care of your client when she needed you most. Comfort Keepers caregivers don’t just make a living, they make a difference. Caregivers are trained and equipped to help families with the non-medical services they need. This lifts the weight of caregiving off of family members and enables them to be present with their loved ones. Whether that means aiding a client with his/her transportation needs, or helping them feel positive about their appearance through bathing, grooming, and hygiene assistance, Comfort Keepers caregivers are professionally trained to provide services to their clients with dignity and respect. Check out this one caregiver’s dedication to her client:
Meet Theresa Brown
Theresa Brown has worked with Comfort Keepers for nearly 11 years, and in February, she showed once again what makes her such a special part of the Comfort Keepers’ team.
When the winter storm hit the Brazos Valley, Theresa was determined to be there for her client because she knows how much he relies on her. Even when her car slid into the ditch on the way, she called for a tow truck and continued on to her client’s home.
Now that’s dedication! Theresa, we hope someone gives you an award for your amazing service to this special senior.
Theresa seems to know what every true hero knows…
