World Explorer Virtual Walk – June 15-28
Information Provided By | Brazos Valley Worldfest
Brazos Valley Worldfest and the Texas A&M University Public Partnership & Outreach Office are partnering to bring the community an outreach event that allows participants to be active, even if they are unable to travel, while learning about the world around them – World Explorer Virtual Walk 2020.
Beginning on June 15th, participants will track their steps daily as they add up to the goal of at least 100,000 steps. In addition, virtually travel to some of the most beautiful, historic and meaningful sites around the world. Participants must register at http://www.brazosvalleyworldfest.org/world-explorer-virtual-walk/. Registration is OPEN TODAY and will continue through June 15th. The walk is open to all ages, but those under 18 must have a parent or guardian register. Registration fee is $20 and includes a World Explorer 2020 tshirt.
What makes this walk unique is the opportunity to set goals for your steps while virtually visiting world historic and tourist sites and learn about what makes these locations so important. Participants will be recognized on Facebook when they reach a goal to promote encouragement and support, while also learning facts about their goal location and even getting a commemorative photo! Learn more about the walk at http://www.brazosvalleyworldfest.org/world-explorer-virtual-walk/ and follow the journey on the Brazos Valley Worldfest Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/brazosvalleyworldfest/.
