Local City Closures for Memorial Day

It’s probably safe to assume that most municipal offices will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 26th, 2025. We found some specific information about office closures that we hope will be helpful for some Brazos Valley Residents.
Brenham
City Services will be closed Monday, May 26, 2025, to spend Memorial Day with our families. From all of us to all of you, have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
This closure affects the following:
- City Hall
- Municipal Court
- Pet Adoption & Animal Services
- Blue Bell Aquatic Center – Memorial Day Holiday Weekend special hours:
- Friday, May 23 – indoor pools open 6:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Saturday, May 24 – outdoor pool open 10:00 am – 5:00 pm | indoor pools open 3 pm – 5 pm
- Sunday, May 25 – all pools open 1 pm – 5 pm
- Monday, May 26 – all pools open 1 pm – 5 pm
- Regular Summer hours start Tuesday, May 27
- Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library – Closed Monday May 26
Not affected by the holiday:
- Brenham & Washington County Texas Visitor Center – Open 10 am – 5 pm Monday
- Collection/Transfer & Recycling Station – Open regular hours
- Residential & Commercial Trash Pick-up – Regular schedule
Bryan
City offices will be closed Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day.
Solid waste and brush/bulky collections will run as normal.

Open facilities
- Bryan Aquatic Center, 5:30 – 7 a.m. & Noon – 8 p.m. (lap swim only)
- Henderson Harbor, 1 – 7 p.m.
- Lake Bryan, 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Legends Event Center, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Animal Control is available 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Call 979-361-3888 for assistance during or after hours.
For emergencies related to electric, water, wastewater, signals, signs, streets, drainage, and solid waste, call BTU dispatch at 979-822-3777.

College Station

Navasota
The City of Navasota would like to inform residents of upcoming holiday closures to allow employees to spend time with their families and celebrate the season. City Hall and other non-essential offices will be closed on May 26th. Normal business hours will resume on the following business day.
The City reminds residents to plan ahead for services that may be affected by these closures, such as utility payments and other administrative needs. Trash service schedules may also be impacted, so please watch for updates on the City’s website and social media channels.
Emergency services, including police, fire, and EMS, will remain fully staffed and available to respond to any urgent needs during the holiday season.
