Join us April 13 for the Downtown Bryan Street & Art Fair!
Experience the Downtown Bryan Street and Art Fair on Saturday, April 13 from 10 AM – 6 PM during Texas A&M’s Family Weekend featuring live music, family-friendly activities, hands-on art demonstrations, shopping, education, and more.
The highlight of the day will be the Plein Air Paint Out sponsored by Visual Art Society of Bryan-College Station where you can witness live painting of Historic Downtown Bryan.
Along with live painting, witness Steamroll Printing! What has become an annual favorite, the steamroller printing combines the force of power machinery with the delicacy of lino printmaking. Steam rolled prints will be hung to dry and available for view. Steamroll printing will take place near St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church by Texas A&M University and Sam Houston State University Students.
In addition to live art demonstrations, there will be new event offerings! This year Art Fair will include a biergarten-style refreshment zone, a youth art tent, and a performance art tent in addition to some of the annual favorites.
“We encourage everyone to come to Downtown Bryan for Art Fair! It’s the perfect spring-time event with activities for the entire family to enjoy; just steps away from restaurants and shops,” said Amanda Kile, Destination Bryan’s Tourism Events Coordinator.
Admission is free and participants are encouraged to spend the day and experience all that Downtown Bryan has to offer. As a recognized Texas Cultural District, Downtown Bryan actively fosters the arts and culture. This fair continues to build on that by inviting local and regional artists to support the rebirth that is occurring downtown.
This year enjoy free parking at The Roy Kelly Parking Garage and easily get around town on April 13. A shuttle will run from Texas A&M’s Memorial Student Center (MSC) to The Roy Kelly Parking Garage in Downtown Bryan.
