Senior Line Dancing Programs At
The Southwood Community Center
Information courtesy of | College Station Parks & Recreation
If you drop by Southwood or the Meyer Senior and Community Center some mornings, you might think it’s a lively dance hall. Instead, adults 55 and older pack the center on those days for line dancing.
The classes are fantastic ways for seniors to learn dance moves, stay active, and make friends.
To expand the program, we recruited local dance instructor Shelli Krueger, who has been spreading joy through the love of dance all over the Brazos Valley for over two decades as the owner and director of Shelli Krueger’s Dance Studio. She’s delighted to bring multiple levels of line dancing to the Southwood Community Center.
The classes start June 5 and are included in our annual senior membership. Memberships are $27 for residents and $32 for non-residents and are valid for one year from purchase at all three senior facilities. Daily non-member fees are $3 for residents and $5 for non-residents.
You can purchase a membership in person or by calling 979.764.2670.
