THIS SATURDAY!

As families across the Brazos Valley prepare for a new school year, The Salvation Army of Bryan/College Station invites the community to its annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2506 Cavitt Ave. in Bryan.
This free, family-friendly event is designed to help local students start the school year with confidence by providing free backpacks filled with school supplies (while supplies last), along with free haircuts, food, snow cones, popcorn, face painting, games, prizes, music, a photo booth, vendors, candy, and more. Organizers expect to serve hundreds of local children, making it one of the area’s largest back-to-school community celebrations. Children must be present and accompanied by a parent or guardian to receive a backpack.
Community members are encouraged to come enjoy the festivities or lend a helping hand. Those interested in volunteering can sign up at salvationarmybcs.org, or email kathleen.sanderson@uss.salvationarmy.org.
Whether you’re attending with your family, volunteering your time, or supporting the event through donations, the Back to School Bash is a wonderful opportunity to help ensure local children begin the new school year equipped for success and surrounded by the encouragement of a caring community.
