Bryan’s own Ronin Farm & Restaurant has made OpenTable’s “11 Idyllic Restaurants on Farms for the Ultimate Farm-to-Table Experience” list, which was announced last week. Ronin was featured amongst some of the finest farm-to-table restaurants in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Jamaica — so this is no small honor!
As described by OpenTable: “Ronin is located in a renovated historic downtown building near Texas A&M University, and the restaurant’s sustainable, family-owned farm is just seven miles up the road, where the team regularly hosts full moon dinners, private events, and family farm days. The farm grows much of the food that’s processed and cooked for Ronin’s menu, in addition to raising chickens and pigs. Updated daily, the menu highlights the week’s harvest, which in summer means watermelon and goat feta salad with pickled peppers, fried farm chicken with grilled vegetables, and cocktails crafted with pea flower-infused vodka and herb bitters.”
“We’re grateful to be included in such good company!” says Amanda Light, owner of Ronin Farm & Restaurant. “Though the last year has been challenging, it has helped us to refine our goals with Ronin. Our team at both The Farm and Restaurant have been as dedicated and hardworking as ever preparing for the Fall and Spring seasons. We are excited for the future and tremendously thankful to be able to continue serving our community.”
You can visit Ronin’s Farm during one of their Full Moon Dinners or stop by their restaurant in Historic Downtown Bryan Wednesdays – Sundays for dinner or brunch.
