Federal Funding Applications Open Through The Emergency Food
And Shelter Program for Brazos, Grimes, and Leon Counties
And Shelter Program for Brazos, Grimes, and Leon Counties
Information provided by United Way of the Brazos Valley
Brazos County, Grimes County, and Leon County have been awarded federal funds made available through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP). The counties listed have been chosen to receive the following amounts to supplement emergency food, rent/mortgage and shelter programs in the counties:
- Brazos County – $67,060
- Grimes County – $9,171
- Leon County – $5,069
Any organization working to cover a broad spectrum of the residents in these counties in the areas of emergency food, shelter, rent/mortgage and utility needs is invited to apply.
Visit www.uwbv.org/efsp for more information and to download an application form. Applications are due to United Way of the Brazos Valley by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021. A meeting of the local FEMA Emergency Food & Shelter Board will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. via a Zoom meeting. Those that apply will be sent an invitation link to join the meeting.
