Poor nutrition, sedentary lifestyles, and unhealthy habits have led to immense health problems across the country, including College Station.
How can you become more active and break that cycle?
The Parks & Recreation Department has always encouraged active lifestyles through fitness equipment and trails in our parks. Now, the Lincoln Recreation Center offers a lineup of adult fitness classes, open gym times, and fitness center access as parts of an adult membership.
The monthly cost is $15 for residents and $18 for non-residents, with a daily option also available. Purchase your pass at the Lincoln Recreation Center or call 979-764-3779.

Cardio Fitness (Ages 16+)
Groove to the hits you love for an easy-to-follow cardio dance workout. A spirited dance session provides a beneficial cardio workout and burns calories while improving strength, alleviating stress, easing depression, and unleashing a plethora of exercise endorphins. The classes are from 6:30-7:15 p.m. on Wednesdays from Jan. 12-May 18.
We also encourage you to take advantage of your local parks to improve your health and quality of life. Every step counts whether you commit to walking once a week, taking the kids to the playground, or attending a fitness class.
