The City of Navasota invites you to celebrate the holiday season at the annual Home for the Holidays, A Navasota Christmas, event on Saturday, December 14, 2024. This is a FREE family-friendly celebration filled with festive fun for all ages, including the lighted Christmas parade, Christmas tree lighting, kids’ activities, and more.
Event Highlights:
Navasota Farmers Market (9 AM – 1 PM): Start your morning at the Navasota Public Library, where local vendors will have unique and seasonal items.
A Navasota Christmas (1 PM – 5 PM): Enjoy free photos with Santa at City Hall, bounce houses, Polar Express train rides, a petting zoo and more. Santa’s Village will be brimming with holiday cheer, gifts, and surprises! Warm up with complimentary hot chocolate and Christmas cookie decorating with Navasota High School Culinary Classes while holiday music fills the air.
Shopping & Dining: Explore holiday finds at local businesses, offering unique gifts and delicious food to complete your holiday experience while supporting the Navasota community.
Lighted Parade & Christmas Tree Lighting (6 PM): The lighted parade will feature dazzling floats and festive displays traveling down Washington Avenue. Afterward, head to City Hall for the community tree lighting ceremony with remarks from the mayor and carols performed by the Navasota High School Choir. To participate in the parade, please register by Friday, December 6th, at www.NavasotaTX.gov/ChristmasParade.
Home for the Holidays is also proud to partner with local sponsors, with 50% of sponsorship proceeds benefiting the Navasota Police Department’s Operation Blue Santa. This program, in partnership with Navasota ISD, provides holiday gifts for children in grades Pre-K through 5th who may otherwise go without this season.
