Pizza lovers, a new day has dawned in College Station and meal-time will never be the same. The long-awaited Howdy’s Pizza opened today (March 8^th), and sent shockwaves of hope and wonder rippling through our community. Could it really be true? A “pizza joint with the soul of a Texas BBQ shack”, complete with smoked meats, hand-tossed grilled dough, and all the flavor combinations we love about our Great State? Well, Brazos Valley, last night our team got to test it out, and we can tell you with full confidence that this new pizza joint lives up to the hype. Our wildest dreams for pizza in this town came true, and we’re excited to tell you all about it.

 

The Atmosphere

Relaxed, family friendly, and decked out in Texas themed décor- what more could you ask for in a pizza joint? Howdy’s brings the character of a BBQ shack to life, yet manages to maintain a clean and modern look. Cool industrial lighting, a giant Texas flag on the ceiling, family-style booths equipped with outlets and USB ports, a milkshake bar, an open kitchen so you can see the magic happen, the list of unique features incorporated into Howdy’s fun environment goes on and on.

The Menu

Their pizzas feature everything from smoked brisket to Mexican street corn, and if that’s not Texas, we don’t know what is. Each pizza we tried was laden with full flavors and fresh ingredients, masterfully woven together for an end result that almost had us weeping. The Staff

“Texas-style” pizza was a delightful shock to our taste buds, but it was the Texas-style kindness displayed by Howdy’s cheerful staff that really sent us over the moon. Big smiles, genuine care, and humble, serving hearts made our whole evening sweeter than the sweetest glass of Texas sweet tea.
