Public Notice: Federal Funding Available Through the Emergency Food
and Shelter Program for Burleson, Madison Robertson and Washington Counties
Burleson, Madison, Robertson and Washington counties have been awarded federal funds made available through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the State Set-Aside process of the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program (EFSP). These counties have been chosen to receive funds to supplement emergency food and shelter programs.
- Burleson County – $5,000
- Madison County – $6,090
- Robertson County – $7,900
- Washington County – $20,000
Any organization working to cover a broad spectrum of the residents in these counties in the areas of emergency food, shelter, and utility needs is invited to apply. Individuals are not eligible to apply for these funds.
Visit uwbv.org for more information and to download an application form. The application will become available on Monday, May 24, 2021. Applications are due to United Way of the Brazos Valley by 5 p.m. on Friday, Jun. 11, 2021.
A meeting of the local FEMA Emergency Food & Shelter Board will be held on Friday, Jun. 18, 2021 at 11 a.m. via a Zoom meeting to discuss the applications.
