A large crowd gathered in the ballroom of The Veranda October 3rd as Brazos Valley Gives launched its inaugural year with a well-attended ribbon cutting. The evening began with some delicious snacks from Buppy’s Catering and socializing among the Brazos Valley Gives administration, charities, sponsors, guests, and media partners. Mayor Andrew Nelson of Bryan and Mayor Pro Tem Linda Harvell of College Station supported the launch of this endeavor to “give where you live”, as well.
After a few opening remarks, Nelson and Harvell took a moment to officially declare October 22, 2019 Brazos Valley Gives Day to a loud roar of applause. Shortly after, Molly Watson of the BVGives team shared the plans and goals of this event. Her presentation was followed by everyone gathering outside for the actual ribbon cutting with the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce. Many pictures were captured with proud smiles and excited applause throughout.
