Have you ever wanted to be more directly involved in local government decisions? You could always run for a place on the City Council, but you don’t need to be a council member to make a genuine and meaningful difference.
How about volunteering to serve on a City board, committee, or commission?
It doesn’t matter if you are a first-timer or have previous experience. Your life experiences and perspective are highly valuable to your community. If you are a registered voter and live in College Station, you already meet the basic qualifications for many of the committees.
The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, and the City Council will make appointments in January.
