A Spectacular Night Under the Stars!4th Annual Starlight Affair Raises over $260,000 for Brazos Valley Families
BRYAN, TX (May 2, 2019) – With perfect weather and a beautiful setting, 300 guests joined Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Texas (RMHC CTX) for the 4thAnnual Starlight Affair on April 26 at the Traditions Club. A record $260,000 was raised to support Brazos Valley children and families served by RMHC CTX.
Upon arrival to the Traditions Club, guests were greeted with signature cocktails, live music and an array of fun activities including a wine toss, taking photos with Reveille, the official mascot of Texas A&M University, and having the winning silent auction bid. RMHC CTX welcomed back four outstanding Brazos Valley chefs and restaurants who delighted guests with amazing cuisine. The evening included a competitive game of Heads or Tails where one lucky winner received a YETI cooler stocked with libations followed by a high-spirited live auction that featured several great packages including an intimate dinner with Chuck Norris and his wife, Gena. The evening was complete with dancing and live music from dueling pianos, Howl at the Moon.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas began supporting Brazos Valley children and families in 2015 with the launch of the Happy Wheels Cart program at three Bryan-College Station hospitals. The first Ronald McDonald Family Room® opened at CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in 2016 and second Family Room opened at College Station Medical Center in 2018. RMHC CTX’s Healing Hearts program also supports Brazos Valley families who tragically lose children with burial assistance.

Jules Barnett-Harrison and Dr. Sam Harrison were the 2019 chairs. Top sponsors included Caldwell Country, Gig ‘Em Gang, Dr. Sam Harrison & Jules Barnett-Harrison. The featured chefs included Chef Fitzgerald Dodd, Urban Table, Mad Taco, and the Traditions Club. Desserts were provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes.
