The Arts Council and City of College Station Mural Project
The Arts Council is excited to announce its newest public art project for the community! Together with the City of College Station, we have started the process of creating exciting and striking pieces of public art throughout the city with our new Mural Project! During this live and interactive mural festival, murals will be constructed in various locations across College Station, decorating establishments and communal spaces for all to enjoy. Murals won’t just brighten and beautify the city; these fantastic pieces of public art will also inspire community involvement and connection, increase tourism, and provide a platform for artists to share their creativity and artistic masterpieces.
Our goals continued:
- To ensure everyone has access to public art. This Mural Festival takes art outside for all to enjoy- no matter who you are.
- To provide professional opportunities for artists. This Mural Festival plays a part in creating an environment where art can help a community to succeed and thrive locally.
- To create more public artworks that attract visitors to College Station and entice them to spend more time exploring the area.
- To entice new merchants and more shoppers to the area.
- To help preserve the history and heritage of the community.
To beautify the city of College Station and add to the quality of life of citizens and visitors.
Please see the forms below if you would like to be a part of the Mural Project.
