What We Are Looking Forward To In October

It is *officially* spooky time but it’s not all scary! There are so many events (even virtual options) that are things to look forward to this month! Of course, there is Halloween, so get decorating and pick out your costume! And as always, we can choose to support friends and loved ones for Breast Cancer Awareness this month. But wait, there’s more! Here are some things you may want to get involved with during the coming weeks.
Faith in Action Pumpkin Patch – Going on the entire month of October and all proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity.
Owl-O-Ween Festival at Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History on October 16th from 5:30 – 8:00PM – FREE live animals, crafts, face painting, a haunted woods tour, educational booths, carnival games, and costume contest!
AirPower History Tour on October 17th – “The iconic B-29 Superfortress “FIFI” is coming to College Station, TX for a one-day ONE-DAY ONLY event!”
PumpkinPalooza 2020 – The event detail will be different from previous years but sign up for the run on October 17th, followed by the Millican Music Festival! Check out the facebook event linked above for all the details.
Brazos Valley Worldfest and Family Festifall with Restaurant Passport from October 19-24th – This FREE virtual event has events the whole week, including live streams. The Restaurant Passport is accepted all month!
Virtual DSABV Buddy Walk – Support the Down Syndrome Association of Brazos Valley on Oct 23 at 11 AM – Oct 25 at 7 PM for all the events!
Messina Hof Spooky Cellar Tour from October 23rd, 24th, & 31st – one and a half hours of touring and tasting with a spooky theme. For $28 each, small groups can participate!
Blue Moon Dinner at Ronin – Who wouldn’t be excited for a nine-course tasting menu based on seasonal ingredients from our gardens and local farms on October 30th. Check out this event linked above for details of this unique outdoor event!
Main Street Holiday Market – Beginning on October 31, the best in clothing, gifts, gourmet food, accessories, Texas handmade, jewelry, home and holiday decor, gifts for the guys, Scentsy, soaps, kids clothing, photography, candles, and so much more. Check out the event at the Brazos County Expo Center with admission from $4 with a non-perishable food item!
These aren’t all the events for this month but we hope this list can offer you a great idea for a date night or a family event right here in our area to bring a little joy to this tough year!
