Thanksgiving in the Brazos Valley to Deliver 2,000 Hot Meals to Individuals and Families in Bryan College Station
Opportunities Open for Meal Registration and Volunteers
The 41st annual Thanksgiving in the Brazos Valley (a partnership with Epicures Catering and Aggie Dining) is gearing up to deliver 2,000 hot, nutritious Thanksgiving meals to individuals and families across Bryan College Station on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024. This beloved community initiative ensures that no one goes without a meal on this special holiday.
Thanks to the incredible support of volunteers and donors, the program has been able to provide comfort and nourishment to those in need and facing economic hardship. Registration is now open for both requesting meals and for volunteers eager to lend a helping hand in meal serving and delivery.
Meal Registration
Any who would like to receive a free Thanksgiving meal are encouraged to sign up by November 22, 2024. Meals will be delivered directly to homes on Thanksgiving Day, providing a complete holiday meal for those who might not otherwise have access. Registration can be completed online at uwbv.org/holidayassistance.
Volunteer Opportunities
Thanksgiving in the Brazos Valley depends on volunteers to make this effort possible. We are seeking volunteers to help prepare, plate and load cars on Thanksgiving morning as well as drivers and delivery teams to distribute meals. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals, families, and groups to come together and give back to the community.
How to Volunteer:
- Volunteers can register online at uwbv.org/holidayassistance. All volunteers are welcome, and no previous experience is necessary—just a passion for helping others.
Sponsors:
We would like to acknowledge our critical sponsors: Epicures Catering, Aggie Dining, H-E-B, Scarmardo Foods and United Way of the Brazos Valley.
