This year, The Arts Council has worked hard to bring make the arts accessible to all in the Brazos Valley through children’s arts education programs, community arts events, and funding programs for local arts and culture nonprofits. Will you make a contribution to your local Arts Council to support programs and advocacy for the arts today?
Your contribution will support us in our programming into 2022:
- Continue to provide arts camps and classes for budding artists of all ages in the Brazos Valley
- Hold our Empty Bowls Jr. event, driven by the idea of “kids helping kids” which provides local students with the opportunity to create art, the proceeds from which go toward local school pantry funding.
- Grow our Artist Connect program, bringing professional artists and specialized workshops into Title I schools in your community
- Conduct our ART for Life program, providing youth in our Juvenile Detention System with the opportunity work with professional artists to produce public art, develop professional and personal skills, and work in a team to contribute to the community
- Welcome more Artists in Residence to our community to live and work, developing their career in the arts and participating in local events
- Bring in artists from around the world to exhibit in a gallery near you
- Provide scholarships to promising young artists graduating from our local high schools
- Share the importance of the arts with our local and state civic leaders through advocacy efforts, spurring support for the programs our community needs to not only sustain itself, but to thrive in creative spaces.
All of this is made possible by neighbors and supporters like you. Help us reach our year end goal of $10,000 today!
