– Our Story –
Almost 9 years ago Stephanie walked into Will’s geography class, freshman year of high school. Will says, “If I only knew then what I know now about this girl, I wouldn’t have waited 3 years to ask her to go out with me.” Junior year, Stephanie and Will shared another class together, chemistry, and yes the irony is not lost. Shortly after their first kiss on New Years Eve, Will asked Stephanie to be his girlfriend. Stephanie and Will both attended Texas A&M University. The summer after graduation Will took an internship with the Miami Heat. Stephanie had one trip planned to visit Will that summer, July 4th weekend. Never having gone so long without seeing each other, they were both giddy with excitement to be reunited. Will took Stephanie to dinner at the famous Biltmore Hotel in Miami on July 4th. As dinner wrapped up, the dessert menu was brought out to Stephanie who eagerly opened it to see what fun desserts to order. The menu wasn’t dessert at all but read, “Will you marry me?” Immediately her face flushed, she dropped the menu and looked at Will who was down on one knee pulling a ring out of his cowboy boot. Tears, disbelief, pure joy, and excitement began to flow. The rest of the evening went just as perfectly, with champagne toasts, pictures, a surprise party that their parents had flown to Miami for, and to top off the perfect day – fireworks. Only fitting since their first kiss was under fireworks as well.
Thus the planning began. Stephanie, being an event coordinator, was ready to plan their dream wedding. The engagement was full of design decisions and planning fun! From the Mexican Fiesta engagement party to the many bridal and couples showers, their engagement flew by. Tours, meetings, tastings, and photo sessions, oh my. By the time June rolled around, Stephanie and Will were more than ready. They had been dating for six and a half years and engaged almost a year. The festivities began with all their family and friends gathering at the church rehearsal and a beautiful rehearsal dinner at Grotto Italian restaurant to follow. The big day began with a Bridal Brunch at Riverbend country club for the girls and tacos and Top Golf for the boys. Primping and prepping occupied the rest of the day. Then time came for the ceremony, which was magical from the moment Will and Stephanie’s eyes met to their announcement as husband and wife! The reception was a party fit for a princess, just as they had dreamed. The evening commenced with all the traditions: cake cutting, dancing, toasts, of course the Aggie War Hymn, and even a custom made song about Stephanie and Will’s love story. The time for the grand exit came too soon as they left through a line of sparklers, once again the firework theme very fitting, into a vintage Rolls Royce to begin their happily ever after! It was truly a fairytale.
