“Could you imagine if you and your future spouse were actually on the same path; strong faith, close families, competitive in all sports, Texas A&M education, professionals in Houston. Then one day, “a pass”, no I mean an actual football pass would put Cupid’s arrow through both our hearts.
Well our story is just that reality, but “the pass” started here on a cul-de-sac in Bryan playing touch football with all the boys and their dads on our street with my brother and dad front and center. When three years ago, while I was at a friend’s football themed going away party in Houston, my now husband, Brandon saw me throw a 20 yard tight spiral and said, “Who threw that….I have got to meet that girl…”, and you see the rest is now a storybook wedding and great start to a loving life time of memories that we now feel we have been sharing our whole lives.
Brandon proposed on July 12, 2013 at The Breakers in West Palm Beach. We share a love for golf and he planned the most incredible proposal on the 18th green of a gorgeous course with the ring hidden in the 18th hole. Not to mention Brandon was having the round of his life. Brandon and I were so excited to get married and begin the next chapter of our lives together. But, let’s be honest, it can be overwhelming these days to plan a wedding with sites like Pinterest, and hundreds of magazines telling you how to be the perfect bride and plan the perfect event. However, ever since I was a little girl I dreamed about a hometown traditional, yet elegant wedding. I grew up in Bryan and attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, where I always pictured getting married. My parents are members at Miramont Country Club, which is an absolute stunning location for a reception. So we had the date, the church and the reception venue…but then the real fun began…
From St. Anthony’s to Miramont, the elegant centerpieces, the legendary band, to an encore send off in a white convertible thunderbird, every vendor helped create the perfect hometown traditional yet elegant wedding that Brandon and I will cherish for a lifetime. We have many favorite moments, however nothing beats spending the day with your closet family and friends as they witness the start of a new chapter in our lives that all began with a special “pass” and believing in God’s timing.”
