The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History is pleased to announce its Spring Mini Camp program, Science of Ceramics, March 14-18.
Ceramics are all around us! Join the Museum’s Spring Mini Camp and dig into ancient worlds, unearth ceramics chemistry, visit with local potters, explore the use of ceramics in space, and more!
Interactive lessons will cover the history and science involved in the world of ceramics, and campers will create their own works of art.
Campers will also enjoy FIRE & EARTH: The Story of Ceramics, a new special Museum exhibit highlighting the ancient origins of ceramics, current uses, and its cutting-edge future.
Students may come for one day, for several days, or even all five. Explore different ceramics topics including: Ceramics Around Us; We Dig Ceramics, Technique Over Time; Chemistry of Color; Ceramics & Beyond.
Studying history and science helps children, ages 4-12, to learn and understand the world around them.
The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History offers children learning opportunities in a safe, fun, and educational setting. Join us for adventures in ceramics science!
