Danny and I met on eHarmony. I was doing an internship in equine medicine, after finishing my veterinary degree and he was finishing his Doctorate in Entomology at Texas A&M University. He was the only “match” that I met in person. We knew after about six months, that we had found our soul-mate in each other. We dated just over two years, before Danny proposed. I was surprised when he got down on one knee while we celebrated Christmas with his family. The ring is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece, designed by Danny and made by Mark Thomason, a jeweler, friend and client of mine.
Danny and I both love the outdoors, so I knew the moment I arrived at Rock Lake Ranch that it was the perfect venue. We chose our October date because it was close to our anniversary, and an away Aggie football game. I wanted our guest to be comfortable but still have a bit of elegance, so the theme was “country-chic”. My Mom did an amazing job growing some white pumpkins and securing a whole truckload more. We worked for months to make many handmade touches including: chalkboard signs, banners, table runners, a display ladder, doors used to mark the entrance of the ceremony site and more. Our day, including the weather, was perfect! We cannot thank our friends and family enough; it was humbling to be surrounded by so much love as wed!
