The Arts Council is excited to officially begin the 2020 Mask-erpiece community tour!

The Arts Council of Brazos Valley recently launched a Face Mask Design Competition where creatives of all ages and mediums had the opportunity to design an original mask. While we wish we did not have to wear them, we believe it is time to embrace masks as an expression of personal fashion! From the practical to the outlandish, we saw masks of incredible creativity and diversity. Thank you to everyone who participated and allowed us to see your vision.

The finished pieces will tour through several of our community galleries and interviews with our winning artists will soon be underway! The pieces are beginning their year-long tour at the Arts Council Gallery Lobby and will be on display until November 14th!

At the end of the touring period, efforts will be made to return the “mask-erpiece” to the creator!
