~ Our Story ~

Reunited and It Feels So Good

Sean and I went to the Sadie Hawkins Dance our sophomore year at Bryan High; just as friends. After Sadie, we would just hang out and talk on the phone every now and then. On Friday, March 22, 2002, Sean walked me to catch my bus home and we discussed our plans to hang out that evening. Right before I got on the bus, Sean stopped and asked me to be his girlfriend! The rest is history. We were inseparable! We graduated from Bryan High in 2004, both moved to Brenham to attend Blinn, then returned to Bryan a year later. We were together for almost 6 years, before we decided to part and go our separate ways.

In 2014, history definitely repeated itself. Sean and I started hanging out again, just like we did sophomore year. We would go to dinner, the movies, or just stay in and order pizza. Not to mention the long phone conversations catching up on life. In 2015, we decided to make things official, again. On July 25, 2015, my whole life changed. I had plans to get with my best friends for a girls night, when one of my best friends asked me to meet her at Bryan High to see the brick she ordered for our class. When I arrived on campus, I walked up to find no one out there. Sean walks from behind a brick wall and asked me to take a walk with him. He escorted me over to a candy table. There he purchased 6 candy bars, which symbolized the 6 years that we were together. We then took a walk through campus, and made another stop, where I read a book about when he fell in love with me. We then rounded a corner, and there were pictures of us on 4 different poster boards; two from high school and two that were recent. Each one said ‘Will You Marry Me…’ As we came around the last corner, I saw my family, his family, and our friends standing there smiling. Sean then got on one knee and asked me to marry him, in the bus area, where he asked me to be his girlfriend 13 years prior.

Our wedding theme was an All-White Affair. The entire bridal party wore white, and we requested for our guests to do the same. I on the other hand, wore a champagne beaded mermaid gown!
Our ceremony took place at Greater Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, with about 350 of our family and friends. The elegance of the guests in white, the all-white linens, and the all-white flowers, was a sight to see! We set the tone at our reception by performing a surprise dance routine for our first dance. After that, the rest of the night was one for the books!!

We are truly grateful for our family, friends, and vendors who helped make our day even more special. The 11 months of wedding planning was well worth it! We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day!
