Live, Work, Or Attend School In College Station?
We Need Your Input!
Information courtesy of College Station Parks & Recreation
As part of the exhaustive process of the city’s 10-year evaluation of its Comprehensive Plan – an effort dubbed The Next 10 – we engaged more than 800 citizens and other community stakeholders.
The evaluation process began in 2019 and led to significant proposed updates to the plan’s goals, policies, actions, narrative, and maps.
Now we need your input on the final updates, the last step in the plan’s update process. We encourage your essential feedback as a final check on the document that will guide College Station’s growth and development for the next decade.
We need to know: Have we effectively updated the plan? Does the updated plan reflect your vision for the city’s future?
Participate Virtually
On The Next 10 website, you’ll find the proposed Comprehensive Plan language, information on past public meetings, interactive feedback maps, and a survey where you can provide your thoughts.
The feedback maps include updates to future land uses, thoroughfares, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities. You can search a specific property address and zoom in and out of areas to analyze the maps, then leave comments for us to review.
We’ve also prepared informational videos to help you navigate the engagement process. The videos provide an overview of the plan’s content, the Next 10 evaluation process, major change highlights, and how to get involved.
The virtual materials will be available through Sept. 3.
Participate in Person
Another way to have your voice heard is to attend one of three open house-style meetings:
Tuesday, Aug. 24 • 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Larry J. Ringer Library
Wednesday, Aug. 25 • 6:30-8 p.m.
Lincoln Recreation Center (Community Room)
Since each gathering has identical content, you only need to attend one, but you’re welcome to participate in the others to view the updated plan and maps and ask questions.
