Josh and I met on Northgate with mutual friends. Honestly, I didn’t care for him much after that first meeting at all. We met a second time at Piano bar and he was completely different, so genuine and a good sport since I teased him so much about the first meeting. We fell in love over Aggie football, family, and dogs. We had gone on a trip to Austin for our birthday (because we have the exact same birthday) and had to board our dogs. Well our smallest Sheltie got her collar shredded somehow so we knew we needed to replace it along with the tags. I came home from work and he had a candlelight dinner setup, which I thought was him being the sweetheart he is. He then asked if I would put Lady’s new collar on her and he was especially proud of the new tag he picked out. I looked at it and that’s when I saw that it said “will you marry me?” He got down on one knee and told me a lot of special things and I said yes.
Our wedding day was so incredibly beautiful. The day before was so hot and humid but the day of was just cool and breezy. We had a great time spending it with family and friends getting ready. We set everything up from our romantic movie quotes in picture frames to the sequin table runners and cafe lights it was all just picture perfect. We’re so lucky to have such an amazing support system that would help us with everything and make sure the day was about us. We got married at Rock Lake Ranch and spent the night completely entranced with one another. We had a romantic classic theme so there were lots of pinks, whites, and sparkles all around. We danced, drank, ate, and had so much fun throughout the night. It’s so crazy how everyone tells you the day will fly by and it really does, but more so because you’re just so incandescently happy that the rest of the world falls away and your one true love is all you see.
