Daniel and I met in our church small group one spring semester. We didn’t talk much at first, but the following summer our small group was combined with other groups since many students were out of town. It was in this new small group that our friendship took root and continued to grow until we began dating the following winter. Just over a year later Daniel proposed at the park we visited on our first date.
We had hoped to have our wedding outside at the beautiful Greenbranch, but a couple of days before the wedding the forecast was predicting the hottest day of the summer thus far. So we made the decided that we would have our photographs taken outside and hold the ceremony inside for the comfort of our loved ones. When the day of the wedding actually came, we started taking pictures outside, but it was just too hot. So we moved inside.
Our wedding had less than 40 close family and friends in attendance. We absolutely loved having an opportunity to speak with everyone. We also were able to relax knowing that we didn’t need to entertain our guests. Even though the Texas summer heat decided not to play nice, we had the perfect wedding. We are so grateful for our loving friends and family and for our wonderful vendors.
