Destination Bryan, Bryan Broadcasting, and Candy 95 are partnering to present Halloweentown in Downtown Bryan sponsored by ABC Home & Commercial Services on Friday, October 29 from 4 p.m. – until candy runs out. This is a free, family friendly event that will provide the local community with a fun and festive trick-or-treating experience.
“This year there are so many opportunities to make this event even more engaging than last year. We’re looking forward to providing an experience that allows the community to come together to celebrate Halloween in Downtown,” said Katy Dempsey, On-Air Personality and Programming Director of Candy 95.
This will be an outdoor event in Downtown Bryan on Main Street between William J Bryan and 23rd Street, and 24th Street between Bryan Ave and Tabor Road. Over 30 trick-or-treat booths will be set up within the event area as well as a photo booth station, face painting by Charity the Clown, a mask craft by The Purple Turtle Art Studio, and a monster bookmark craft by The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley. A costume contest will be held starting at 4 p.m. for four age categories, including, 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Results will be announced at 6 p.m. and awards will be given for 1st-3rd place. A bonus award will be given for the most creative and best group costume.
“We are excited for the return of Halloweentown in Downtown Bryan this year and are thankful for the continued partnership with Bryan Broadcasting and Candy 95,” said Amanda Driewer, Tourism Event Coordinator of Destination Bryan. “This event provides a festive Halloween experience for the Brazos Valley community and we can’t wait to see all of the fun costumes.”
