Employers with part-time job vacancies are encouraged to contact Brenham|Washington County Economic Development to secure a booth at the free job fair being held Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 11 AM to 2 PM in the Atrium of the Blinn Student Center. Part-time job seekers are welcome anytime during the job fair with no advance registration required. Job seekers should dress for an interview and bring a resume or materials necessary to complete job applications.
“We’d like to start the year off helping employers achieve their recruitment goals, and the part-time workforce – including students, retirees, and those wanting flex schedules – is particularly challenging. Hosting events like these are a great chance to bring employers and part-time job seekers together,” states Economic Development Specialist, Teresa Rosales.
While the Job Fair is open to the public, Blinn College is hosting the Job Fair as Blinn students are a great source of the part-time workforce. Brenham Campus Executive Dean Myron Dippel said, “In recognition of both the importance of students having part-time employment to support their educational goals and the economic impact of Blinn on the local economy, I feel that it is imperative for the growth of our students as well as the stability of workforce for our local businesses to give each the opportunity to come together in a setting such as this.”
Sponsors of the job fair include: Blinn College, Brenham|Washington County Economic Development, the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Workforce Solutions Brazos Valley, KTEX, and KWHI Radio.
