Texas A&M Volleyball Teaming Up With Boys & Girls Club For Unique Event
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley is excited to team up with Texas A&M Volleyball to host Serving It Up For The Club. This unique eat, meet, & shop event is taking place this Saturday, October 29th from 8:00am-12:00pm at the Ice House On Main. There is no cost to attend and the entire community is invited to take part in the following:
● EAT delicious pancakes provided by Snooze, an A.M. Eatery
● MEET the Texas A&M Volleyball coach and players
● SHOP the Pop Up For A Purpose featuring clothing, shoes and accessories from Charli’s Boutique.
This morning of fun, food, and shopping will kick off bright and early at 8:00am with Texas A&M Volleyball head coach Laura “Bird” Kuhn. The entire Texas A&M Volleyball team also will be on site for photos and autographs from 9:00am-11:00am. The first 75 youth will be provided Texas A&M Volleyball team posters signed on site by players.
In addition, attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to shop a Pop Up For A Purpose sponsored by long time local boutique retailer Charli. Charli’s Boutique generously donated stylish and beautiful clothing, shoes and accessories which will be available for purchase at significantly discounted prices to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley. Silent auction items will also be on display for bid and feature great gift baskets donated by community partners such as Big Shots, Fig-Mint Photography, Jack & Jill Preschool and more!
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley will also have information on site regarding their athletic and academic programs as well as their newly launched after-school food program which provides healthy meals to local youth members daily. CEO Rhonda Watson states, “We are always seeking opportunities to engage with the community and showcase the amazing academic, athletic, and culinary offerings provided to local youth at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley. When the Texas A&M Volleyball team expressed interest in partnering with the club we were excited to create this one-of-a-kind event to invite the community to meet the team while learning more about the mission and programs at the club!”
