Dead Men Tell No Tales 5K run to kick off the piratical themed weekend

WHAT: Avast, Ye Mateys! Arrgh you ready? The Texas Renaissance Festival is hosting its Pirate Adventure themed weekend this Saturday, Oct. 23 and Sunday, Oct. 24, as the venturesome festival season continues.Before the festival opens, all swashbucklers can participate in the Dead Men Tell No Tales Color Run, a 5k run throughout the Fields of New Market Campground. This exciting event will be held Saturday, Oct. 23 from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. The traditional Pirate Adventure festival will commence afterwards from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.Heave to and come ashore for the most thrilling piratical party of the seven seas. All ye hearties are invited to enter the daily swashbuckling costume contest for the chance to win precious pirate’s booty!
Put all hands on deck for the festival’s adventures, including the brand new Pirates’ Dilemma Escape Room, a 45-minute challenge where each plucky band of privateers must escape the King’s Guard or be doomed to walk the plank!
