With Qualified Lifeguards On Board, The City’s
Two Public Swimming Pools Are Set To Open In Late May
Information courtesy of | College Station Parks& Recreation
As summer approaches, cities across the country face a continuing lifeguard shortage. Last year, a third of the nation’s public swimming pools closed or reduced operating hours.
Fortunately, College Station Parks & Recreation has spent the spring recruiting, training, and onboarding qualified lifeguards to safely open our two city-owned pools. Adamson Lagoon opens May 27, followed by Cindy Hallaran Pool on May 30.
Daily admission is $7 at Adamson, $4 at Hallaran, and children 2 and under are free. Discount pool passes are also available. You may bring snacks and refreshments, but no alcohol or glass containers. Concessions are available Friday-Sunday at Adamson and may only be purchased with a credit or debit card.
