City Offices Closed For Independence Day
Information sourced from City Websites
Brenham
City Services will be closed Friday, July 4, 2025, to spend Independence Day with our families. From all of us to all of you, have a safe and happy holiday weekend. Regular Residential & Commercial Trash Pick-up will not be affected by the holiday.
Fireworks Ordinance
The Independence Day holiday is a time to celebrate with family and friends. Remember, it is illegal to shoot fireworks within the city limits. Like other summer holidays, when the warm weather hits, there’s nothing better than the smell of food on the grill. Along with grilling, many celebrations include camping, traveling, and fireworks.
As you celebrate with your family and friends, check for local burn bans and fire restrictions in the county. While many parts of the state have received large amounts of rain, it only takes a few warm, sunny days to dry out, increasing the risk of wildfires. If you are barbecuing, or roasting marshmallows near a backyard fire pit, always keep a water source near you (hose, bucket, or wet rags).
