The City of Navasota is proud to announce its Business Improvement Grant Program, created to support commercial property and business owners within the city limits as they make exterior improvements and invest in long-term success.
The program provides matching grants to eligible businesses in four key areas: façade improvements, signage upgrades, property enhancements, and marketing or website development. Qualified applicants may receive up to 50% reimbursement for approved project costs, or 60% if they choose to hire a local contractor.
A local contractor is defined as a business with a registered address and a valid sales tax permit within the City Limits of Navasota. By using local professionals, applicants not only maximize their grant funding but also help keep dollars in the community, supporting the local economy and fellow businesses.
Available Grants:
- Façade Improvement: Up to $2,000 (or $2,200 with a local contractor)
- Sign Improvement: Up to $1,000 (or $1,100 with a local contractor)
- Property Improvement: Up to $2,000 (or $2,200 with a local contractor)
- Marketing & Website Development: Up to $1,500 (or $1,700 with a local contractor)
“These grants are a direct investment in our local economy,” said Charlie Stutts, Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Navasota. “We’re excited to help businesses grow, look their best, and thrive – while also encouraging the use of local talent and services.
