The City of Navasota, in collaboration with Navasota Citywide Mission, invites you to join in honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a day of celebration, reflection, and unity. This year’s theme, “Moving Forward by the Power of Love,” inspires our community to come together in a shared commitment to love, equality, and progress.

- Parade Start Time: 11:00 AM (Line-up begins at 10:00 AM on Brosig Avenue; no registration required)
- Parade Viewing Areas: Washington Avenue & LaSalle Street
Following the parade, a Memorial Program will be held at Friendship Baptist Church located at 1111 S. LaSalle Street, Navasota, Texas. We are honored to welcome Dr. Ruth J. Simmons, President Emerita of Prairie View A&M University, Brown University, and Smith College. Dr. Simmons is an esteemed leader in education and a passionate advocate for equality and progress. This annual event is an opportunity to reflect on Dr. King’s powerful legacy and his enduring message of love and justice. Together, let us celebrate his vision for a brighter future for all. This event is free and open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to attend and participate in this meaningful day of celebration.
