The Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra™ today announces the postponement of three upcoming concerts; “Tangos & More” on January 24, “Three Icons” on February 21, and “DSQ +BVSO” on March 28. This announcement comes as a response to the current ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic which has disrupted many arts organizations across the country.
“As everyone knows this has been an incredibly difficult time for Bryan/College Station businesses and non-profits. The COVID rate continues to soar here in the Brazos Valley, our hospitals are overwhelmed with COVID victims, and there appears to be little relief in the near term. Our best hope is for a gradual improvement across the spring months followed by more people feeling comfortable in participating in collective events,” said BVSO™ Executive Director Mary Koeninger.
The BVSO™ is committed to working through this challenging period and look to reschedule the three concerts between May 1 and July 31 of 2021. As soon as dates have been solidified, the BVSO™ will immediately announce the schedule to ticket holders and the public.
The following concerts will take place on the dates originally established:
April 25, 2021 – Royal Jazz (Love & Devotion)
June 20, 2021 – Asleep at the Wheel
For those patrons who have subscription series or individual tickets to these postponed concerts, the BVSO™ will automatically move those tickets to the new concert dates. New tickets will be issued at a later time.
“We are looking forward to seeing everyone on April 25, 2021 at what will now be our new first concert of the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra’s 2020-2021 Season,” said Koeninger.
Anyone with questions about their tickets may call the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra office at 979-696-6100 for more information.
