2019 BuzzFest at BeeWeaver Honey Farm
Looking for something FUN (and free) to do with the kids this weekend? Head over to Navasota, TX this Saturday for the highly anticipated annual BUZZFEST put on by BeeWeaver Honey Farm! If you’ve never been out to the honey farm, you’re in for a treat! Bee experts from all over Texas will be on hand to teach and thrill guests at this bee-extravaganza.
Here is a sneak peek of what Saturday will look like!
At 11 AM the Honey House at BeeWeaver Honey Farm will transform into a Tasting and Sipping Hall where guests can sample honeys, meads, and treats provided by the American Honey Queen and Texas Honey Queen! The room will be filled with whipped honey, Hawaiian honeys, and (of course) Good Ole’ Texas Honey.
Honey demos and experiences will be offered throughout the day. Guests can participate in live hive tours, pollen exploration, apitherapy (also known as Bee Venom Therapy), mead making, queen bee catching, honey plant education, and so much more. The fun doesn’t end there! BeeWeaver is inviting all youngsters to bring their swimsuits and towels for a wet and wild Texas Size Watersilde. After making a splash and cooling off, kids can head to the Big Tree for face painting and pictures with Romeo and Juliet.
Hungry for more than just honey and mead? Never fear, food trucks are here! BeeWeaver’s food truck friends are showing up to make your trip even more delicious. At the farm, you’ll find Mad Ass Wood Fired Pizza, Donut Darlin’, Mary Jane’s Kitchen, and Texas BBQ! Not to mention All We Need Farm’s Honey Pops and Me and the Bees Lemonade.
Now that BeeWeaver has its winery permit, their team is able to serve up mead by the glass and bottle. Be sure to try their new WildFlyer Mead as well as Rohan’s Mead and Texas Keeper’s Honey Theif!
The focus of BuzzFest is to create fun-filled, bee-infused day at the honey farm for families across the region! Want more info? Check out their facebook page or website!
We hope to see you there!
