Join us for the rescheduled ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the new bird blinds at Lick Creek Park. The event will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the bird blind north of the Gary Halter Nature Center.
Notable speakers at the ceremony include Mayor John Nichols and City Manager Bryan Woods. Don’t miss this exciting milestone at Lick Creek Park, located at 13600 Rock Prairie Road, College Station. See you there!
New birders are invited to sharpen their birding skills with the Rio Brazos Audubon Society. Learn to identify birds by sight and sound, use field guides and binoculars, and explore the Brazos Valley’s native and migrating species. The class meets at the nature center and hikes through Lick Creek Park’s trails. Dress appropriately for the outdoors and wear closed-toed shoes. This program has been made possible by the commitment of dedicated volunteers with the Rio Brazos Audubon Society for over a decade.
All ages are welcome for free admission to the birding program on Saturdays, Feb. 3, March 2, and April 6, starting at 8:30 a.m., at the Gary Halter Nature Center.
