Get You Binge On Before They’re Gone!
Article by Lizzie West
Spending much more time at home than usual these last several months, many of us have regrettably become reliant on Netflix (and other streaming services) to help fill our time and de-stress from the traumatic events happening around us. We have seen many new options pop into the mix, some titles even being released directly to streaming due to theaters being closed. However, we have sadly seen some of our favorite options removed. First, let’s acknowledge a few beloved titles we have already recently lost from Netflix.
R.I.P. to some of the shows we have lost as of July 1, 2020:
Andy Griffith
Center Stage
The Matrix Trilogy
The Polar Express
Tremors – Full Catalog
Hurry before these titles are gone later this month:
July 22 – Inglourious Basterds
July 29 – Ant-man and The Wasp
July 30th – Incredibles 2
Let’s move on to some titles we will be losing in the coming months. Now is the time to add them to your lists and watch them in your free time while you can. (or purchase them outright to avoid any withdrawal symptoms that may occur. *wink*)
August 2020
All “Back to the Future” flicks
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
Twister
September 2020
Once Upon a Time
October 2020
Parks and Recreation
Sometime in the 4th quarter
That 70’s Show
January 2021
The Office
Though I feel personally attacked by the loss of Parks and Recreation on Netflix, I know many have preemptively begun the grief spiral of losing access to The Office, with it’s many ridiculous and quirky moments. This is NOT a comprehensive list, so feel free to do some research of your own, as I’ve only outlined some of the “heavy-hitters” above.
Have fun trying to bend the limits of time and space to finish all the episodes of your favorite shows before they’re gone.
