Bennett and I have been friends since we both went to Cypress Grove Middle School together. We officially started dating when we were both in college and a few months short of our 5 year anniversary, he proposed in Central Park in New York City with my great-grandmothers heirloom ring!! A year later, it was wedding day!
The ceremony was set to start at 6:00pm and it looked like there was going to be some rain but nothing prepared us for the torrential downpour that was to come! The reception was set to take place in a tent – outside! – but our amazing guests braved the weather and our vendors were able to make do! There was a moment when the weather cleared and Global surprised us with fireworks! They went the extra mile to make this happen for us and we loved it! The rain kept coming and ended up flooding our dance floor but not our spirit! We moved the dance floor to the barn and danced the night away. True to Murphy’s Law, there were some changes that had to be made to the plan but nothing could have ruined our big day!
