We met when we were in high school and he asked me to his senior prom. Our relationship lasted for about a year when we decided to just be friends since he was attending Baylor University and I was still in high school. We always stayed in touch by phone, even through me attending Texas A&M and him graduating from Baylor. For me he was always the guy other guys had to live up to.
My senior year of college required me having to create a website and since I am not so technologically inclined I asked Chad to come help me. As soon as we saw each other we knew we weren’t through. We began to date again and after about a year he proposed at the park we always hike at with our Great Dane.
We decided that our wedding date would be October 12th. (The 12th is a special day because both our birthdays are on the 12th.) I knew exactly what I wanted for our wedding day because I have been a florist since I was 15. I had done hundreds of wedding and now it was time for my own.
We decided on an Art Neuveau theme with the colors for the flowers being dark purples, reds and umbers accented with mixed metals. The next few months were full of work! We did most of it on our own; he even created the cake topper for my cake. Chad designed the invitations and created all the font by hand, while I created the embossing on the exterior of the pocketfold. All of our hard work paid off in the end. We had the most beautiful day! It was all perfect from the food to the flowers.
