A unique charitable event is bringing local law enforcement officers and the fitness community together again on Saturday, July 27, 2024, to benefit the Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC). The third annual “Battle of the Badges” fundraiser will be held at Row House College Station. Lindsey LeBlanc, owner of Row House and Executive Director of SARC, combined her passion for fitness and serving the community by organizing a rowing competition involving four local law enforcement entities in the Brazos Valley to support the mission of the Sexual Assault Resource Center.
The Bryan Police Department, Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, College Station Police Department, and Texas A&M University Police Department will gather a team of five individuals to raise funds to support the Sexual Assault Resource Center and compete for two categories in a 10K rowing relay. Those categories include the fastest team time rowed and highest amount of money raised for SARC. Awards will be given at the end of the event. Each law enforcement entity is asked to fundraise through donation “votes” for their team.
This event will be held on July 27, 2024 at 11:00AM at Row House College Station and is open to the public. The competition will begin promptly at 11:00 AM with prizes awarded at 12:00 PM. To support your local law enforcement agency and the Sexual Assault Resource Center, donations can be made on the team’s website: https://p2p-usa.keela.co/battle-of-the- badges-2024. The public is encouraged to vote for their favorite law enforcement team leading up to July 27th. Donations close at 11:30am on July 27th.
