The Wedding Of Megan + Layne Thomas-Faust
Real Wedding from | Spring 2024 Brazos Valley Bride Magazine(pg.70)
Our lives started intertwining when my childhood best friend’s boyfriend at the time moved in across the street from Layne. After being introduced and letting our paths cross a few times we decided that we should give this relationship a try. It wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies as we both experienced many hardships in our own lives during the seven and a half years. You read that right, seven and a half years.
It didn’t take the whole seven years before getting engaged, we actually got engaged a year and a half before the wedding. It was Layne’s thirtieth birthday party and the ring had actually been delivered that morning. He had zero intention on proposing that night, however Layne is terrible with surprises as he just gets so excited! In the moment of excitement he turned his birthday party into a engagement party and proposed right there surrounded by friends and family.
They aren’t lying when they say sometimes the good things are worth waiting for. Our wedding day was the first weekend of October, 2023. The weather was better than anyone could ever ask for, the first 70 degree weekend after a record breaking summer of nothing but unbearable heat. The venue was perfect and provided everything we could imagine for and more. Everything went without an issue, we were able to finally tie the knot and begin the rest of our lives together.
