Art Teacher Supply Drive
Information courtesy of | Arts Council of the Brazos Valley
The Arts Council has extended its art supply drive for teachers in the Brazos Valley to September 30th. All supplies donated will go toward Brazos Valley art educators featured in Blackboards & Brushes: Celebrating Art Education in the Brazos Valley. The exhibit ends this Friday, September 15th, but you can still support these educators in making art accessible in their classrooms and to the students in our community by donating by September 30th. Supplies can be dropped off at the Arts Council during open hours: Monday-Friday 9a-6p and Saturday 1-4p.
Anyone can drop off any new art supplies, but those still needed/requested by the teachers are:
- Hot glue gun sticks
- Pencils
- Crayola coloring products
- Coloring products
- Drawing paper
- Black and gold Sharpies
- Canvases
- Paints
- Calligraphy dip pens
- Clay carving tools
Donations are a direct and tangible way to make art more accessible to young artists in our area. The Arts Council thanks those who have already donated and look forward to providing these resources to art educators in the community.
