Many of the traditional Fourth of July fireworks shows are cancelled, and the expansive RELLIS Campus is an excellent location for a celebration that would allow physical distancing.
The free community event will feature a 20 minute firework show beginning at 9 p.m. and patriotic music provided by WTAW at 94.5 FM and synced to the fireworks.
Parking will open at 7:30 p.m. to allow guests to select a viewing area from their vehicles. Guests are encouraged to practice physical distancing, including remaining with their vehicles during the show, wearing face masks when appropriate, maintaining six feet of distance between others and staying home if feeling ill.
The fireworks show will also be featured on the local TV station, KBTX, for those who are unable to attend in-person. Live streaming details will be available at the end of the month.
