The RELLIS Academic Alliance is set to host a Recruitment Fair on March 10 for students interested in attending classes on campus this fall.
The fair, slated to be held from Noon to 2 p.m. in the Student Center on the Blinn College Brenham Campus, will allow prospective students to meet RELLIS Academic Alliance staff and learn more about available bachelor’s degree programs. Students participating in the fair and applying to the regional university of their choice via GoApplyTexas on the day of the Recruitment Fair will qualify for an application fee waiver.
“The Recruitment Fair really allows us to connect with potential students and help them discover RELLIS as a great educational fit based on their personal and career goals,” said Admissions Coordinator Dalton Jones. “We have so many opportunities available across the RELLIS Campus, so meeting in person with the regional university representatives allows us to really demonstrate everything we have to offer.”
Currently, ten Texas A&M System regional universities and Stephen F. Austin State University offer a combined 28 bachelor’s degree programs in subjects ranging from communications, business administration and agribusiness to biology, health sciences and psychology.
Prospective students will also have access to a free assessment tool, Vita Navis. This career planning program is based on the Myers-Briggs assessment and results are linked to potential careers and degree options available at RELLIS.
“Students who are looking to discover the right career choice for them will have access to a really powerful tool in the Vita Navis,” said DaNeetra Walker, Manager of Enrollment Services. “This tool enables students to make an informed and intentional decision when choosing their major, allowing them to feel confident they are making the right choice just in time for summer and fall registration opening later this month.”
