German Chavez, Jr. (“Jr.”): “I was scrolling through social media when I saw this girl that caught my eye. That blonde hair and smile got me right away. I immediately messaged her and complimented her cute smile. I made sure she knew I was a gentlemen and told her, “My mom always said to lead with a compliment.” A day passed by and I kept wondering if she was ever going to message back. When she did, I knew she liked my corniness and had her in the bag. The rest is history.”

Bonnie: “When Jr slid in my DMs, I knew this was going to go somewhere. When I whooped his butt in bowling, i knew it was all over. On January 19, 2019, I messaged my best friend and told her “Jr is going to be the one I marry.” This was only 4 months into our relationship and look at at us now.”

“In sickness and in health” has been the epitome of our first five and a half months of marriage. We got married on a Saturday and I had my first chemo treatment that upcoming Tuesday. Jr has been at every chemo session, been my shoulder to cry on when the emotions were strong, and has been my rock through it all. I couldn’t have married a better man than him.
